We are now into October and there are a few housekeeping notes:
• please send in 20 dollars for supplies and 6.50 for the planner. We do use the planner regularly and it is a good place to give me messages or get a message from me.
The planner has a little "traffic light" in the corner for each day, green yellow red. A circled green means a good day in terms of behaviour and effort, yellow indicates minor issues, and red is a significant issue. There will be a phone call to accompany any circled red.
• please make sure any pets that come to school are cleared for the visit with Mr. MacQueen!
• Wed., Oct 8 is an early dismissal for parent/teacher meetings. I have a sign up sheet or email me for a time if you wish a meeting. We can also arrange another convenient time.

The school regularly sends out email reminders for various things and a weekly newsletter, please check.

So, our class is a 3 and 4 split with 22 students, 16 grade threes and 6 grade 4's. It looks like all kids have supplies and are equipped with good inside shoes. Make sure your child has a water bottle and a substantial snack and lunch.
I will be setting up an email list but the office is currently going through some bookkeeping changes so it might be a few weeks. I hope to do this blog once a week so you can check this out as well.
Homework will not be a regular feature. I do not intend to send home work unless it was unfinished or if families would like a little. Please read at home with your child and I can work out a home reading package if that is wanted.

We have had a great start with students learning routines expected behaviour.
